Direction offers the best in professional cost effective design and
marketing. I have a vast amount of experience gained from working
as a Designer, Copywriter and Art Director with various Design Consultancies
and Advertising Agencies over many years.
Recently my creative energies
have been channeled towards the wonderful Life in a Lens museum.
The museum is a personal project and has developed to include The
Victorian Teashop – a very successful and popular
venue within the same building.
My philosophy is simple: effective,
well targeted design works best and I am good at empathising
with client needs to produce both the right strategy and an efficient
product at a reasonable cost.
I am currently engaged in various
personal projects and I do not take on much outside work. However,
I still offer my design and illustration services and I am always
enthusiastic about interesting
new ideas.
One of my attributes is versatility. Over the years I have ventured into many aspects of creativity,
including computer game design and the study of esoteric
subjects. Some of my well know programs from the early nineties
include 'The Obscure Naturalist', a huge interactive adventure
game, and also 'Insecticide' a simple, shoot 'em up. I also
wrote a book called
'Odin's Eye', about the history and uses of the Runic alphabet.
Future
projects will include more 3D digital art, documentary, photography, film, animation,
poetry, music, cartoon visualisation and comedy. I recently produced
a spoof advertising web site called Black
Pencil Design, a serious report on
the village of Matlock Bath in Derbyshire and an invitation to visit it.
